Aubrey-moment of my life
ISSUE 2025 MONDAY, 08/18/25 08/03/2010 ♬

Before everything, I would like to introduce myself. I am Aubrey Capinpin, 15 years old, 4'8", and I am from Paing Bantay, llocos Sur. I am a student in the special science program, and I'm in 10th grade. Just like any other teenager, I have many hobbies and extracurricular activities, like playing taekwondo, playing instruments, doing arts and crafts, and watching movies and series. I find it hard to balance all the activities that I do, and that's the reason why I currently stopped playing my sports at 10th grade.
Like any other student, it is also very hard for me to handle all the activities and maintain my academic and athletic profile. It's very tough to maintain both the academic and athletic validation. Especially since I am part of the special science program, more is expected from us because we are the role models among regular students. But of course, I am going to do my best to excel in both my academic and athletic journey. And in order to do that, I first must have self-discipline.
As for my personality, I am an ambitious and determined person, and I have many goals and dreams to achieve. I am creative, goal-orientated, resourceful, patient, open minded, and passionate. I like setting goals to challenge myself and to achieve things many people aspire to achieve and receive. I've been an academic achiever ever since I was a child, and I have plenty of expectations about myself.
In senior high school, I'll be taking STEM because it is aligned with my own interests in life. I am still not sure what school I'll be going to in senior high school, it is either abroad, another province in Baguio or Cagayan, or probably University of Northern Philippines here in Vigan. I am also considering applying in University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
My dream University in college is University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD) and my dream course to take is Bachelor of Science in Biology. I want to pursue that course because I want to be a doctor, a cardiologist or a neurosurgeon in the future.
As of now, I am busy focusing on my studies, and I recently decided to not play taekwondo in 10th grade. As I said before, I was struggling with how to balance my academics and my sports, and eventually I temporarily chose to give up my sports in order to focus on my studies. Making the utmost decision to focus on my studies was nerve-wracking. Instead of kicking pads, I would rather hold my pen and skim books.
